

Edith “Edie” Didier, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 3:04 p.m. Born on April 8, 1935, in Norphlet, Arkansas, Edie later made her home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she built a life centered around family, faith, and love. She worked in a clerical profession for much of her life, dedicating herself to her work with diligence and care. Edie was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Joe Didier, and a proud mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca McKnight (Bryan), and her four sons: Christopher Didier (Caryn), Keith Didier (Stacie), John Didier (Tyleen), and Jeffrey Didier (Cara). She was also the cherished grandmother of ten grandchildren: Madelyn McKnight, Cole McKnight, Paige St. Pierre (Joey), Patrick Didier, Dr. RaeAnn Didier, Reid Didier, Summer Didier, Mackenzie Didier, Brandon Didier, and Ryan Didier. Her legacy continues through them and the love she poured into each of their lives. Edie was preceded in death by her parents, Seth and Lesta Emmons; her sister, Oree Williams; and her brother, James Emmons. A woman of deep faith, Edie was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, followed by a funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Trey Nelson. Interment will follow at St. George Catholic Church Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Edie found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved baking, sewing, and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered by all who knew her. Her life was a testament to love, faith, and family, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
