"Edna Morgan Abel was born July 10, 1939 in Liberty, Mississippi. She passed away at the age of 79 on September 25, 2018 surrounded by her devoted children. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She showed her love and dedication for our Savior by her selfless service to so many. She was a gracious southern lady who enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting and spending time with those she loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carlise Abel and her parents, Clarence Morgan and Maggie Blalock Morgan. Survivors include: her son, Robert Carlise Abel, Jr. (wife Melanie); her daughters, Carla Davis (husband Todd); Donna Sanders (husband Steven); Cindy Pack (husband Kevin); Dina Stroyan (husband Richard); 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, September 30th, 5-7pm. Funeral at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, October 1st, 10 am. Burial at Port Hudson Cemetery.
