A devoted and loving father passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at the age of 66. He was a native of Kansas City, MO, and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA. He was a chiropractor and owner of Gavin Chiropractor Clinics in the Baton Rouge area. He is survived by his son, Erik Gavin; daughter, Meghan Gavin; mother, Ruth Gavin Horn; and sister, Yvette Rice. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Gavin; and brother, Tom Gavin. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, November 7, 2014, from 5 PM until 8 PM. Funeral service will be held at McGilly &Sheil Funeral Home in Kansas City, MO, on Monday, November 10, 2014, at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
