Edwin Arthur McClanahan a native of Bossier City, La and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Monday September 26, 2016, at his residence at the age of 80. Ed was a Civil Engineer and retired from DOTD after 21 years of service. He was preceded in death by mother, Myrtle Tooke McClanahan; father Prentiss Martin McClanahan; step-mother, Ethel McClanahan; 2 sisters Lelia Mae “Sis” Watson and Nelda Mains. Ed is survived by his wife of 52 years, Genevieve C. McClanahan; son and daughter-in-law Ron and Tabatha McClanhan and their children Gavin and Lainey; his daughter, Melissa McClanahan and her son Dylan. Graveside services were held on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at 2pm at Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thanks and appreciation to the staff of STAT Home Health (AIM Program) and St. Joseph’s Hospice.
