On Sunday morning, Libby went into the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ. Born in Laurel, Miss., and graduated from Millsaps College, she met and married the love of her life, Donel Jackson Lynch, in 1943. She won several beauty crowns in her youth, but was most concerned with the crown she earned as mother and wife that she would cast before her Lord and Savior. Libby is the mother of two sons, Donel Campbell Lynch, who is the elder, is with the Lord, and Lee Jackson Lynch, the younger, still survives. She is also survived by her beloved daughter-in-law, Hilda Favaron Lynch, and many grandchildren. The love of God is reflected time and again in special moments of her life, perhaps the most noteworthy being her personal care for her husband for 7"° years when he became partially paralyzed due to a spinal cord disease. Her love for Don expressed itself in selfless and sacrificial care for his well-being. It did not matter that she was near the point of physical exhaustion for most of this time, nor that she had to run his business for him while caring for him, nor that she knew Don's death was approaching. She loved him to the end. And she loves him still. She is much like the virtuous wife in Proverbs 31, "She openeth her mouth with Wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness." All who knew her have experienced her kindness. "Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come." Certainly she is rejoicing now, in the presence of her Savior. We who remain rejoice with her. And with this article, "Her children arise up, and call her blessed." Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 26, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., (225) 383-6831. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum.
