A homemaker, Eloise Dougherty Van Osdell, passed away of natural causes on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at her home in Denham Springs. She was 89 and a native of Pride. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 5 p.m.to 9 p.m.Visiting resumes at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday from 9 a.m.until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by President Ruben B. Clark. Interment inAzaleaRestCemetery, Zachary. She is survived by four daughters, Joyce Ann Brock, Eurline Landry, Jacqueline Jones and Judy O'Conner; two sons, Walter H. Van Osdell Jr. and Craig Van Osdell; 25 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Van Osdell Sr.; parents, James Edward and Ella Croft Dougherty; two sisters and three brothers. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
