Ernestine Davis

Ernestine Davis was born on October 26, 1935 and departed this life August 27, 2015, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center (Bluebonnet). She was 79. She is a native of Woodville, MS and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She was employed at Woman's Hospital for over 40 years until she retired. She is survived by her loving sister Ruby Bolden (Chalmus), Maywood, IL. Her adoring children Renee Rachelle Christopher, Patrick Eugene Davis (Marie Anderson), Tony Ellis Davis, Shari Lynn Davis, grandson Jeramee Stevenson (all of Baton Rouge). She is also survived by her Ex-Husband Tony Davis, Jr. Nieces Pamela Ratley, Debra League (Dewayne), Karenja McCaskill (Alex), Sheretta Wright, Gaynell Rembert (Dr. Ronald) Sister in law Lela Wright (Maywood). Uncle Ellis White (Rose) Cleveland, MS. Cousins Barbara Morton, James Morton, Darlyn Brown (Dr. Damien), Dr. Berlisha Morton, PHD. Devoted friend Geneva Becnel. She was preceded in death by her parents Ellis Wright and Rosa Lee Madison Wright, brothers Ellis Wright, Jr. and Eugene Wright. Aunts Bertha Harbor and Lillian White, nephew Chalmus Bolden, Jr. and great-niece Angela League. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday September 1, 2015, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home Downtown, 825 Government St. Baton Rouge, LA 70802.Visitation with the family will be from 9am until 11am with a service to follow conducted by Pastor Carter Leblanc of Healing Place Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made Hospice of Baton Rouge.
