Ms. Shank is survived by one son, Edward Arthur (Eddie) Shank (Gloria); three grandchildren, Trinel Shank Kerry (Matthew), Edward Arthur Shank Jr. (Michelle); and Cherie Shank Welsh (James); two brothers, Glen Hooks and Harold Hooks (Miriam); sister, Virginia Hooks Peterson; and numerous grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; great great great grandchild and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Rose Hooks; a sister, Helen Hooks White; a brother, Paul Hooks; and her beloved husband of 52 years, Arthur Shank.
Visitation will take place at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 9:00am until funeral service time of 10:00am. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA., at 1:00pm.
