Eunice M. Atkinson

Eunice Morgan Atkinson a native of Montpelier, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away on Friday March 18, 2016 at Ochsner Medical Center of Baton Rouge at the age of 94. Eunice was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, Lamousse Garden Club and her Tuesday bridge club. She was very instrumental in founding the family railroad construction company. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Eugene Morgan and Annie Reeves Morgan; brothers Edgar and Lester Morgan; sisters Lucille Cook, Leona Grantham and Ann Arceneaux. Those that she has left behind to cherish fond memories of her would be her loving husband of 74 years, Allen S. Atkinson; two daughters Margaret A. Saizan and her husband Thomas L. Saizan and Julie A. Holland and her husband Stephen Webb Holland; five grandchildren Cade Saizan, Kendall Sutton, Conner Saizan, Morgan Vinet and Brigette Vinet; four great-grandchildren, Lily Grace Vinet, Sean Michael Domingue, Jr., Sage Michelle’Cecilia Domingue, Ella Katherine Sutton, Noah and Drake; many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. Pallbearers will be Tommy Saizan, Stephen Webb Holland, Cade Saizan, Conner Saizan, Collin Sutton, Steve Grantham, James H. "Chuck" Morgan, III. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Broadmoor United Methodist Church on Tuesday March 22, 2016 from 10am until funeral service at 12pm conducted by Rev. Ken Carroll and Rev. Fred Wideman . Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
