

Floyd Willis Guy, age 87, was born in Zachary, Louisiana on November 23, 1930. He was a resident of Walker, Louisiana. He went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2017. Floyd has been married to his childhood sweetheart and best friend, Wanzie Pennington Guy, for 67 beautiful years. They have 3 children: Floyd, Gary and Kristy. Floyd and Wanzie are members of Open Door Baptist Church where Floyd served faithfully as a Deacon. He truly embraced the scripture in Joshua 24:15 “…But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”He is survived by his beloved wife, 2 sons: Floyd Guy (& wife Cina), Gary Guy (& wife Roberta), 1 daughter: Kristy Guy, 1 brother Darrel Guy (& wife Judith), 2 sisters: Caroline Guy, Zona Hickman (& husband James), 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents: Flavoris J. and Zona Marie Guy, 3 brothers: Roy, Charles, Carlton Guy, and a precious granddaughter: Tammy Lynn Sprouse. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum where he worked as a supervisor for many years. He liked to fish, hunt and work in his garden, but his passion was his family. Floyd loved them so much and enjoyed spending time with each one. He wanted all to know how much he loved the Lord and tried to set a good example for them. He is extremely loved and will be greatly missed. There will be a viewing for Floyd at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 5pm-9pm and Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 9am-10am. Services will be held immediately after at 10am.
