

Lyons, Floyd C.A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, he was born January 6, 1943and passed away on February 27, 2015 at the age of 72. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rupert and Frances Lyons. He is survived by his sister, Mary Jane Lyons Gelpi and husband George; nephews, George Gelpi, Jr. of Las Vegas NV, Chris Gelpi and daughters, Alyson of McKinney TX and Cheyenne of Waco, TX, and Gregory Gelpi and wife Nancy and son Collin of Augusta, GA; nieces, Deborah Gelpi of Kona, HI and Kathleen Gelpi of Baton Rouge; Godchild, Bernie H. "Bruiser" Bayham, Jr.; friend, Debora Bayham of Grosse Tete, LA; and the many co-workers at Sams' Club he considered his friend. He loved hunting and fishing, particularly deer hunting. He was an employee of Sam's Club since its opening 28 years ago. He was formerly employed by Ethyl Corp. until its closing and also was a former employee of the State Motor Vehicles Dept. He was a US Army veteran and served during the Berlin Crisis. Visitation at Rabenhorst East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Tuesday, March 3rd, from 5 pm until 8 pm. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park with graveside services at 10 am Wednesday, March 4th.
