

"Frank Raymond Clark, a native of Baton Rouge, passed away at home on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the age of 82 surrounded by his family. He was born June 14, 1935 in Baton Rouge. Frank attended Baton Rouge High (Class of 1953) and graduated from LSU in 1958 in Business Administration. He served as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps. stationed at Ft. Sam Houston, where he met his wife, 2nd Lt. Joan Cecile Wittenauer, an Army nurse. After serving in the Army, he returned to Baton Rouge where he was a banker for over 40 years, starting at Fidelity National Bank in 1953 and retiring from Regions Bank in 2000. He was a founding member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Eucharistic minister, fair worker and member of a bible study group. He was active in numerous civic and professional organizations. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joan, his three children, Catherine Clark Crader (Darren), Carla Clark Miller (Eric), and Robert Francis Clark (Laura) and his eight grandchildren, Kayla, Alysha and Jenna Meadors; Mary Katherine and Amy Miller; and Charles, Ryan and Landon Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Foster Clark and Mary Alyne Breithaupt Clark, and his infant sister, Myra Adele Clark. One of his greatest pleasures was visiting with his children, their spouses and his grandchildren, of whom he was proud, and loved attending their various school and sporting events. He also enjoyed finding and restoring old clocks, loved to read, and taught himself about computers after retirement. For many years, he enjoyed lunch with the Out to Lunch Bunch, who frequented local restaurants daily. They celebrated "Wife Appreciation Day" on Valentine's Day every year. Visitation will be at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church from 9 to 11 am on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Trey Nelson. Entombment immediately following at the St. George Catholic Church Mausoleum. His pallbearers will be his 8 grandchildren with the honorary pallbearers being Tommy Wallace, Frank Endom, John LeJeune, Wayne Pugh, Dave McNeil, and John Bilisoly, his Lunch Bunch friends. A special thanks to Dr. Carl Luikart, Dr. Richard Lieux, and Dr. James Craven for their special care over the years. Thanks also to St. Joseph's Hospice for their care and support.
