Frank J. Zito, 82, and a native of White Castle, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He passed away Monday, May 2, 2011, at his residence in Baton Rouge. Frank retired from City Glass with 46 years of service and was known for his casino bus trips. Survived by his children, Joyce Z. Gilbert and husband Allen, Judy Zito, and Ronny and Karen Zito; grandchildren, Chad and Angel Thibodeaux, Jennifer Thibodeaux, Josh and Lenzie Zito, Candi and Jacob Ourso and Brandon and Daisy Grotsma; great-grandchildren, Ethan Roberts, Olivia and Alex Thibodeaux, Kylie Ourso and Wesson Grotsma; stepgrandchildren, Sean and Travis Gilbert, Heidi Watts and Laura Tarver; his best friend, his dog "Peter Carlo"; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Zito. Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Josephine C. "Phinie" Zito; parents, Sam and Francis Zito; brother, R.P. Zito; and sister, Tena Bonano. Visitation at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church on Thursday, May 5, from 10 a.m. until service at 1 p.m., with a rosary at 11 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
