A loving wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Fredda Gail Jarreau Matherne Martin passed away at her home on August 24, 2017 at the age of

63. She was born June 24, 1954, a native of Baton Rouge and longtime resident of Livingston.

She loved LSU football, cooking, gardening, and camping. She loved living life and was full of

joy and laughter in all she did. Fredda was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in French

Settlement.

She is survived by her husband Randy Martin, son Erich Matherne (wife Hayley, their children

Peyton and Reed), step daughter Casey Fontenot (husband Anthony, their children Courtlyn,

Chanler, and Chayce), and step son Randy Martin II. Also, her father John B. Jarreau, sister

Jackie Fontenot (husband Anthony), brother Johnny Jarreau (wife Becky), brother Wayne

Jarreau (wife Robin), a half brother Paul Jarreau, 3 step sisters (Susie Ruckel, Pam Maxwell, and

Sharon Lejeune) 1 step brother (Joey Lucita), numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins,

and friends. Preceded in death by her first husband James (Jim) Matherne, mother Marie Lucita,

step father Sammy Lucita, great niece Camrynn Fontenot, and brother in-law Bruce Ruckel, and

grandparents. Pallbearers will be Anthony Fontenot, Michael Prejean, Jeremy Jarreau, Clayton

Jarreau, Randy Martin II, and Will Maxwell.

Many heartfelt thanks to: the doctors and nurses at OLOL, especially, Dr. Richards, Dr. Chadda,

hospice nurse Jessica, and Canon Hospice.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral

Home located, 9595 Florida Blvd Baton Rouge LA on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 4:00pm to

8:00pm and Monday,August 28, 2017 at 11:00am. Funeral Monday, August 28, 2017 at

12:00pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
