Freddie Stone Kertacy

Freddie Kertacy, 78, of Baton Rouge, La. passed away peacefully at 7:21pm, Saturday, October 04, 2008 after a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Gary, Texas. She was loved by everyone who knew her. With her quick wit and smiling face, she brought happiness and laughter to many. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, October 06, 2008 and from 8:00am Tuesday, October 07, 2008, until the religious service in the funeral home chapel at 9:00am, conducted by her niece, Penny Hankins, and her nephew, Rev. Bobby E. Moore of Longview, Texas. Interment will follow at ResthavenGardens of Memory. She is survived by her son: Patrick Owen Kertacy of Baton Rouge; daughter: Donna Kertacy Williams&fiance' Kelley Lewis LaCoste of Zachary; her only grandchild: Kathryn "Katie" Theresa Williams of Baton Rouge; sister: Imo Jean Peach of Kingston Springs, Tennessee; brother-in-law: George M. Knox of Martin, Georgia; niece: Penny Hankins&husband Bill of Linden, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends. Freddie was preceded in death by her husband: Gabriel "Curt" Kertacy Jr.; son: Daniel "Danny" J. Kertacy; parents: Fred F.&Reba McGee Stone of Panola County, Texas; two sisters: Dannie L.
