Frieda lived by these words and went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:30am Monday, June 15, 2015, at her residence in Baton Rouge. Frieda was born March 22, 1925 in Lecompte, Louisiana, the last of eleven children born to Eugene Ernest&Martha Benelia Casey Carpenter. Frieda was a resident of Baton Rouge and an executive in the insurance industry for many years. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family at her home or at her camp. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 12:00pm until the religious service in the Chapel at 3:00pm, conducted by the Rev. Dr. David Womack. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her parents: Eugene Ernest&Martha Benelia Casey Carpenter; six sisters: Florence Young, Bessie Duck, Ola James, Gladys Young, Genia Burkholder and Esma Ferrell; and three brothers: Charles, Bolton and Ralph Carpenter. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; her church community and also many friends. Those that knew Frieda, know what a great lady she was and had their lives enriched by her friendship.
