George Adam Becker left us on May 20th, 2015, at the age of 65. He was a cancer survivor of more than 6 years, finally succumbing when it returned in 2014. George was a respected and beloved employee of L.S.U. for more more than 30 years. He was the son of the late Lucille Hurlbert Becker of Biloxi, MS. and the late George Becker of New Orleans. He is survived by his daughter Katie Becker Smith, son-in-law Josh Smith and grandson George Parker. A Brother Peter Becker of Virginia Beach, a sister Doneva Allelo of New Orleans, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends he considered to be his family. A celebration of George's life will be held at Rabenhorst on Government St. from 1-4 pm on Saturday, May 30th. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Carpenter house or the charity that is closest to your heart (as long it is not Republican).
