

On Thursday, October 29, 2015, George H. Cramer, II, went home to be with his Savior. He was born September 15, 1947 in St Charles, Illinois and lived his adult life in Baton Rouge. George was a veteran, having served in the Gulf War retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel from the US Army Reserves. He was also an active member of The Chapel on the Campus where he enjoyed serving in leadership, music, and mentoring. He received a Bachelor of Science from Wheaton College and a Masters of Science from Louisiana State University. Having worked many years for the State of Louisiana and other consulting firms he recently started his own private consulting firm G.H. Cramer and Associates where he was the Principal Geologist/Hydrogeologist. He is survived by his wife, Bettejean Sydnes Cramer, his children, Chris and Jillian Cramer (Durham, NC), Geoffrey and Nikki Cramer (Dallas, TX), Kathryn and Deron Frailie (Fairfax, VA) and Sarah Cramer (Columbia, SC), and granddaughters, Evie Cramer; Zoë and Molly Cramer; Emilia, Jayne and Ashlee Frailie. He is also survived by his two brothers, John Cramer (wife Christine), Atlanta, GA and James Cramer, Greenville, VA, his mother-in-law, Lugene Burns, Des Moines, IA, and nieces and nephews, Dr. Tonya Cramer, Baltimore, MD, Todd and Sarah Cramer, Lynchburg, VA, Matthew and Kelly Cramer, Covington, GA, Philip and Amanda Cramer, Hendersonville, TN, and numerous other relatives as well as those who considered him family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. and Mrs. George Henry Cramer (Elva). Visitation will be held at The Chapel on the Campus, 3355 Dalrymple Drive, Baton Rouge, Monday, November 2, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm and Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 10am until the service at 11am. Memorial gifts may be made to Wounded Warrior Project and Respire Haiti.
