Dick passed away at home Monday, July 20, 2015 at the age of 91, a native of Amite and Franklinton LA and a resident of Baton Rouge. George was a navy veteran of WWII serving in the South Pacific Theater of Operations. After the service he attended Bowling Green Kentucky Business University. He was a former co-owner of Belisle Cleansers, Ace Cleaners and Shenandoah Cleaners. George was a past Grand Knight Calcasieu Council # 1207 Knights of Columbus, past Faithful Navigator Msgr. Hubert Cramers General Assembly 4th degree K of C., former State Marshall, District 2, 4th degree K of C, member Fiesta Caravan, Order of Alhambra, American Legion Post #38 and a Honorary Life Member in Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law; Paula and Mitchell W. Bueto, granddaughters; Brooke Anna Louise Bueto and Blake Lea Aline Bueto, a son; Michael Scott Dick and wife Lori Daigle Dick and grandson; Michael Scott Dick II, brother and sister-in-law; Carl I. and Jerry Gayer Dick of Franklinton, LA, sister-in-laws; Linnie Hundemer and Bootsie Hundemer also numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie Hundemer Dick, parents; George H. and Addie Durnin Dick and a sister; Evelyn D. Cassidy. Visitation will be at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 starting at 9:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am, with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
