George Roland LeBlanc II, resident of Denham Springs, born in Baton Rouge on March 6, 1952, was welcomed into the gates of Heaven January 27, 2022. As a veteran pastor of over 30 years and a self-proclaimed amateur historian, his legacy library would fill volumes more than his own extensive literary collection. His most notable title would read something like “Loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, Son, & Friend.” To know George was to know joy and appreciation. His love for the Lord, his family, and the world around him was and will always be unmatched. He often spent his time writing, reading poetry (especially Edgar Allen Poe), gardening, studying the Civil War and WWII, and watching horror movies and documentaries. In addition to his hundreds of books, he also collected typewriters, knives and recurve bows. He practiced archery regularly, and took frequent jogs and hikes. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of nearly 45 years, Janice Estess LeBlanc, adoring and only daughter, Hannah LeBlanc Daigle, son-in-law Joshua Daigle, grandchildren, Audrey Ellen, James Roland, and Adam Berton, and a number of nieces and nephews. His is preceded in death by his mother, Daisy Elizabeth Gonzales, father, George Roland LeBlanc, and sister, Joan LeBlanc Bergeron. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 9:00am-11:00am with service to follow at Christ's Community Church (26574 Juban Rd). Burial at Evergreen Memorial Park. Please join in the celebration of his life with food and fellowship at Christ's Community following burial services. Flowers may be sent directly to Christ's Community.
