

Gordon William Boelter joined his loving wife of 62 years, Jean Frederick Boelter and his son, Michael Frederick Boelter on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the age of 85. A retired Mechanical Engineer from Shell Chemical and Cajun Electric he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Boelter and Gregory Allen Bonner; daughter-in-law, Karen Boelter; brother-in-law, Marvin Zellmer; two grandsons, Andrew Hinton Bonner and Arthur Boelter; one granddaughter, Bevin Boelter; three nieces, Linda and Connie Zellmer, and Beth Zellmer Burke, and sister Jacquelene Bodway from Hammond, OR. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Myrtle Boelter; brother, Ronald Boelter, and sister, Nyeleta Vincent. Gordon was a CW4 (Retired) Navy veteran who served in WWII, Korean War, and re-called for the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Baton Rouge where visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 9:30 am until religious services at 11 am.
