
Born Jan. 20, 1937, in Bexar County, Texas, Grady died at home on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011. He was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, attended St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church and worked for many years as a construction superintendent. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Ann Sharp Gray; four grandchildren, Emily Marie, Jillian Schell, Gary Michael Jr. and Michaela Renee Gray; sister, Sue Ellen Gray Longman; two daughters-in-law, Lori Johnson Gray and Kay Billings Gray; three brothers-in-law, Leonard Crank, Thad Smith and Kenneth "Bo" Sharp; three sisters-in-law, Diane Gray, Bootsy Smith and Sharon Crank; nephews, Shannon Harris, Steve Gray, Lane and Mark Longman, Shea Crank, Chad and Scott Smith, and Kenneth Sharp; nieces, Elizabeth Hoons, Wanda Vollenweider, Debbie Repak, Terri Naylor, Cherae Slater and Stephanie Brockman; and a number of great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sons, Grady Jeffrey "Jeff", Guy Wesley and Gary Michael Gray Sr.; parents, Wesley and Helen Gray; father-in-law, Bob Sharp; mother-in-law, Hilda Sharp; sister, Elsie Harris Watson; and brother, David Gray. In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral expenses will be appreciated. Visitation at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, 16166 S. Harrell's Ferry Road, on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Thomas C. Ranzino, celebrant. Arrangements by Rabenhorst Funeral Home East.
