Gregory John O’Neal

Greg passed away at the age of 77 surrounded by his loving family. He was a 1964 Denham Springs High School graduate and a retiree from Dow Chemical after 31 years. He was also the founder and owner of Winner's Cycle for many years.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years Elizabeth Ann (Carbo) O'Neal; son, Scott O'Neal; daughter in-law Rebekah (Digirolamo) O'Neal; grandson, Jude Michael O'Neal; sisters, Debbie (Valentine) Zimmerle, Wanda Gayle (Valentine) Tate; sisters in-law, Evelyn (Carbo) Phillips, Barbara (Carbo) Thomas, and Mary Jane O'Neal; 4 nieces; 1 nephew; 3 great nieces; 5 great nephews; godchildren, Vanessa (O'Neal) Gautreau, Jessie (Thomas) Fernald.

He was preceded in death by his father, George S. O'Neal; mother, Doris "Dot" O'Neal Valentine; stepfather, Irvin Valentine; son, Steven Gregory O'Neal; brother, Michael S. O'Neal; longtime friend, George Spruill.

Pallbearers are Johnny Terrell, Brandon and Michael Phillips, Josh Gautreaux, Mike Fernald, Justin Hebert, Caleb Wunderlin. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Speeg and Stanley Phillips.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow. Burial will take place at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
