Harold David Pourciau Sr.

Harold David Pourciau, Sr., born April 14, 1950 in Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on August 18, 2024 at the age of 74. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator from Local #406 after 35 years. Harold was an avid hunter and fisherman until health issues no longer made this possible. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty O’Rillion Pourciau; sons, Harold D. Pourciau, Jr., and Timothy W. Pourciau; sister, Abby Leonard; and brother, Michael Pourciau. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Jr., and Lucy Pourciau; brothers, Alvin T. Pourciau, Robert E. Pourciau, and Anthony (AJ) Pourciau, Jr.; and grandson, Taylor W. Pourciau. A memorial gathering will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 2 pm until memorial service at 4 pm. The family would like to thank his brother-in-law, Ricky O’Rillion for all of his help and support; they could not have made it without him. Additional thanks to his doctors and staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center; Pinnacle Hospice, especially Ms. Shana, Ms. Amanda, Ms. Leona, and Chaplain, Jason; and The Crossing at Clarity Hospice for taking such good care of Harold and Betty until his passing.
