
Helen "Biddy" Werner Jackson Morgan, 81, passed away in Baton Rouge on November 20, 2014. Biddy was born in Baton Rouge. She is survived by her husband of over 60 years Don L. Morgan, children Mae Helen (Greg) Zyjewski, Laura Leigh (Dennis) Bergeson, and Edward Allen Morgan and grandchildren Andrew, Jarrett, Jeffrey&Emilie Morgan, Matthew&Helen Zyjewski, and Sarah&Rachel Bergeson. Biddy was a proud Dufrocq Duck, graduated from Baton Rouge High School, and attended LSU, where she was a Tri Delta. Biddy had a passion for fashion and loved tending her plants, swimming, anything chocolate, and the Tigers. She had a beautiful smile and was always cheerful and gracious. She was a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge. She had a ministry for making people feel special, and her daily prayers were felt by many. Biddy was patriotic and known, along with her husband, for her Fourth of July celebrations. Biddy and Don lived in Louisiana, Virginia, Texas, Michigan, New Jersey, and Illinois. She never met a stranger and made a difference in all the lives she touched. Biddy volunteered for many organizations during her lifetime, including the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, hospital auxiliaries, community theatre, and band boosters, often taking leadership roles. In 1974 in Manistee, Michigan she received the Good Guy Award in recognition of her many years of community service. Biddy is preceded in death by sons, Rex and Lewis Morgan, brother, John C. (Jack) Jackson Jr., and parents, John Cloar Jackson, Sr. and Helen Werner Jackson. Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church Dunham Chapel on Saturday, November 22. Visitation will be at noon with the service following at 1pm. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Vincent de Paul.
