

"Henry S. Nowacki, Jr, born January 18, 1946 in Atco, NJ and a resident of Denham Springs, passed away Wednesday morning, November 16, 2016 at the age of 70. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and decorated Vietnam War Veteran. Henry enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and mowing grass on his beloved lawn mower, but also still enjoyed working in the construction industry and was a Superintendant at MBD Automation. He was a loving friend, husband, father, grandfather, & great-grandfather who will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Henry is survived by his wife of 39 years, who was the apple of his eye, Antoinette "Bunny" Nowacki; daughters, Deneen Berdon & husband Martin of Baton Rouge and Donna Pomrink and husband Billy of Somerdale, NJ; sons, Brian Vandegrift & wife Gina of Gemrnatown, TN, Henry Nowacki, III of Denham Springs, & Lance Nowacki of Mandeville; and his sister Francis Lofton. He was known as "Pop Pop" by his 15 grandchildren: Billy, Joseph, Joey, Macy, Lindsay, Nichole, Brianna, Gabriel, Amanda, Bailey, Matthew, Gillian, Grace, Brady & Bryce; and 9 great-grandchildren: Jaden, Landon, Madden, Madison, Peyton, Liam, Aubrey, Jaxon, & Lincoln and was always the biggest fan of their success. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Nowacki, Sr. & Mary Bracarelle Nowacki; his sister Philomena, his brother Ferdinand; and his grandson Billy Pomrink, Jr. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am followed by a gathering for family and friends in the St. John Room at the church. The family would like request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Henry's honor to The American Heart Association.
