Ima Jean Mizell was called to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the age of 86. She was a native of Folsom, LA and a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Ima was devoted to the Lord and was a very active member of Maranatha Fellowship Church of God. She had a lifelong passion for loving and taking care of children. She had a special love for the holiday seasons, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, and looked forward to spending time with her family and friends. Ima is survived by her children, Derhl Mizell (Connie F.), J.W Mizell (Connie P.), Carol Jester (Patrick), Michael Mizell (Lisa) and Dina Mizell (Calvin); 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Dorman Morgan; sister-in-law, Wilma Morgan; and a host of other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Hayward; parents, Alvrice and Dean Morgan; and five siblings. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, December 27, 2021, from 9:00AM until the time of funeral services at 10:30AM. Burial will immediately at Mizell Cemetery in Franklinton, LA.
