Irene worked in the family business as a bookkeeper and receptionist. She was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Denham Springs. She died at 11:00am Wednesday, March 06, 2013, at her residence. Irene was 69. She was a graduate of St. Anthony Catholic School. Irene was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Denham Springs, and a former member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Sunday from 3:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume Monday at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church from 9:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am, conducted by the Rev. Todd Lloyd. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband: William H. "Bill" Reeves Jr.; two sons: Kevin Reeves&wife Sharon, Chad Reeves&wife Barbara; six sisters and two brothers; five grandchildren: Jeni and Jessi Reeves, Carson Reeves, Christopher and Stephanie Holland; numerous nieces&nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her daughter: Charlotte Cherie Holland; her parents: Roger&Katherine Clark Major.
