James "Jim" Beeson Sr. was born on April 27, 1940, to Bennett and Cordie Beeson in Jayess, Mississippi. Jim was called home to be with the Lord on October 23, 2023, at 4:04 PM. As years went by the family decided to move to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Here in Louisiana Jim graduated from Istrouma High School and then attended L.S.U., home of the Tigers. Jim was the president of Susa Energy Inc. for many years. In 1989, he was in Houston, Texas, where he met Suzie. They moved to Baton Rouge in 1991 where they were married. They both became self-employed, working from home selling merchandise to Wal-Mart stores in all states to high schools, colleges and universities. Jim was a very devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed his time watching cowboy and Indian shows, wild west being his favorite. Let’s not forget his sports and news times. Don’t you dare stop in front of that television while L.S.U. or the New Orleans Saints are playing. He’d give you a dang good butt chewing for sure. He loved his precious Bella and all his fur babies. The best excitement he looked forward to was seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending time with them. Jim was full of laughter and love to share with others. Jim is survived by his wife, Suzie, of 36 years; sister, Patsy B. Cagle; children, Deebee Cox (Doug) of Arizona, James "Chun" Beeson (Laura) of Kansas, Joe Beeson (Jan) of Louisiana, Ben Beeson (Sherri) of Colorado, Twilla Frosco (Richard) of Oklahoma; stepson, Steven Scholes (Kim) of Texas; 12 Grandchildren: Jessie, Trey, Scott, Christine, Katelin, Dalton, Scarlett, Ashley, A.J., Steven JR., Shawn and Katelyn; and 19 great grandchildren and still counting; niece, Suzanne; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennett and Cordie May Beeson. May he rest in peace and God bless everyone.
