James “Aarron” Boozer passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the age of 33. He was a native and resident of the Baton Rouge area. Aarron was an Army veteran and paratrooper with the 173rd Airborne Chosen Company 2-503rd. He served in Iraq where he earned his combat parachutist star and a Purple Heart. He also served two tours in Afghanistan. His passions were fishing and cooking. Aarron is survived by his daughter, Riley Anne; mother, Beth Scarbrough; father, Jim Boozer; brother, Scott McLennan; grandmother, Martha Scarbrough; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Aarron is preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth Scarbrough. Visitation will be held at St. Jean Vianney, 16166 S. Harrells Ferry Rd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, December 15, 2017, from 9:00AM until the funeral Mass at 10:00AM.
