Holden, James Douglas "Doug"Doug was born January 26, 1922 and died Saturday, March 21, 2015. He was 93 and a resident of Slaughter. He lived in Memphis, TN for 43 years. He was the owner of Combustion&Controls Inc., of Memphis since 1951. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a licensed commercial pilot, a good fisherman, and an avid gardener. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Wednesday, March 25, 2015, from 5 pm until 8 pm. Visiting at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 3824 Lee Street, Zachary, from 8 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am celebrated by Rev. Jeffery Bayhi. Burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Baton Rouge. Doug is survived by two sons, Henry Lee Holden and wife, Jill, of Olive Branch, MS, and James Cody Holden and wife, Robin, of Collierville, TN; grandchildren, Benn, Jay, Joshua, Jacob, Elise, Brynn, and Kara Holden. He is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Henrietta Michelli "Netta" Holden; an infant daughter, Donna Lee; and an infant son; parents, Henry James and Netta Lee Shanks Holden. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Benn, Josh, Elise, Jay, Jacob, Brynn and Kara Holden.
