
A native and resident of Baton Rouge, he died at his home Thursday, March 31, 2011. He was 91. Ralph was a graduate of Catholic High and attended LSU. He served in World War II in the Navy SKIC at the San Diego Naval Training Station. Later, he was employed by City National Bank for 15 years. He also owned the Ralph Dupuy Insurance Agency. He was past president of the Baton Rouge Insurance Exchange, a committee member of the State Insurance Association and a longtime member of the Downtown Kiwanis. Visitation at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Monday, April 4, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Dees Dupuy; son and daughter-in-law, David Ralph and Mathilde Dupuy; daughter, Dee Murphy; and daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ron Marston. He is also survived by four granddaughters, Suzanne LaCroix, Melissa Landry, Lisa Wittstruck and Lauren Dvorscak; and three great-grandchildren, Mollie and Matthew LaCroix, and William Dvorscak. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Albert Dupuy Sr. and Victoria Saurage Dupuy; brother, Joseph A. Dupuy Jr.; sisters, Myrtle D. Kidd, Pearl D. Brown, Corrine D. Acosta, Ruth D. Shoptaugh, Inez D. Avery, Ethel D. Schafer, Sybil D. Boizelle and Bernice D. Thibodeaux; and many numerous lifelong friends and golf partners.
