Hardy was a kind, gentle soul who never knew a stranger. His love of sports was only surpassed by his love of family and friends. Born May 11, 1953, to Marjorie and James (Jim) Wood, Hardy is survived by his sisters, Nell Wood McAnelly and husband Bob and Jean Wood Comeaux; nieces and nephews, James Shelton McAnelly and wife Kristin, Brandon Andrew Baque, Brittany Ana Baque and Megan Elizabeth McAnelly; great niece and nephew, Kaitlin and Jacob McAnelly; and his lifelong best friend, Larry Lee. Hardy was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Marjorie Claire McAnelly. Hardy's job was a highlight of every day. He was a loyal employee of the Holiday Inn who was overjoyed to be nominated for employee of the month multiple times. He cherished the friendships he made at work, especially that of his boss, Amos Jacobs. Simple pleasures brought great joy to Hardy. His happy disposition and perception of his wonderful life will continue to be an inspiration to all. "This is Hardy Wood."
