
Baton Rouge, Louisiana and always had a gift for helping. James went and got a master's in social work, establishing drug rehab centers for the community. He was a teacher and counselor for many communities around and eventually became an ordained priest. James was known for traveling around the country helping people in anyway he could. He will be missed by all who knew him. James is survived by his sister, Carolyn Lockwood, Five Nieces, One Nephew, and numerous Great Nieces and Nephews. James is preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha Lockwood, as well as his brothers, Alfred Lockwood Sr and Larry Lockwood. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Landmark for all their help during this time. Relatives and friends are invited to the Chapel of Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St Baton Rouge, LA 70802, Friday January 17, 2025 for the visitation beginning at 6:00PM until a Rosary beginning at 7:00PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:30PM, Saturday January18, 2025 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 749 East Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70802; with a burial at Greenoaks Memorial Park beginning at 2:30PM.
