A resident and native of Baton Rouge, he passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 28. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., was on Monday, July 2, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3552 Morning Glory Ave., on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Chad Jones. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by his mother, Isabel Addison; sister, Jamey Trahan; beloved pets, Sophia and Willard; grandmother, Jewel Trahan; aunt, Benell Boarland; and an uncle, William G. Addison. Preceded in death by his father, James Edwin Trahan Sr.; grandparents, Ben Trahan, and Grady and Dorothy Addison. Pallbearers will be Brian Johnston, Michael Taylor, Michael Tucker, Mark Rester, Ken Kriedler, Michael Ferguson, Ezekiel Watkins, Nick Kalivoea, Eddie Randolph and Chris West. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas Kennon, Mike Charles, Dustin Fourrier and Jessy Monroe. He was a graduate of McKinley High School, where he was on the football team and Beta Club. Edwin will be missed by his many friends and family.
