Janet A Craig

Janet A. Craig, 74, a resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. She was a loving wife, mother, Grandma and friend. Janet was an educator all of her life working in both public and private schools where she touched the lives of many children. In addition, Miss Janet was the neighborhood mom and was always there for the kids who grew up in Cedarcrest subdivision. She was a member of Cedarcrest Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and singing in the Choir. She is survived by her sons, Brett W. Craig and Michael L. Craig and wife Angela; grandchildren: William U. Craig, Ryan N. Craig, and Joshua M. Craig. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, William L. Craig; her parents Millie and Clifford Ackerson and her in-laws Malcolm “Mac” and Olive “Dickie” Craig. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 11 am until service time at 2 pm.
