Javier Ricardo Vidaurreta, born on February 27, 1970 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, he died there October 29, 2024 of cardiac arrest at the age of 54. He was raised in Venezuela and came back to Baton Rouge 22 years ago. He had an Associate degree in Food and Hospitality from Caracas and held several jobs in the field, most notably at the Baton Rouge Country Club and at Woman’s Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Luis Vidaurreta; his grandparents, Dr.and Mrs. Luis E. Vidaurreta of Baton Rouge; his grandfather, Nelson Malpica Sr of Valencia Venezuela; and his grandmother, Luisa Ceballos of Caracas. He is survived by his wife, Claudia; daughter, Maria Gabriela of Baton Rouge; his mother and sister, Nancy and Nancy Virginia who are in Venezuela; his aunt, Alicia Vidaurreta; uncle, Nelson Malpica; and his family of Baton Rouge and numerous cousins and family members who reside in various parts of the world.
A memorial gathering will be held at Christ the King of LSU from 9 am until memorial mass at 10 am on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
