Jeanette Rabalais Janet

A native of Cottonport and resident of Baton Rouge, Jeanette died at her home on Thursday, May 5, 2016. She was 83. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 11:30 am until funeral services at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she is survived by daughters, Gail Flynn and husband Gary, and Debra Lilly and husband Keith; son, Bruce Janét and wife Linda; grandchildren, Casey Rade and husband Paul, Brandon Janét and girlfriend Ashley Broussard, Ashley Smith and husband Austin, Jonathan Lilly, Cole Flynn and wife Brittany, Justin Lilly and Jacob Janét and wife Shelbi; great-grandchildren, Dylan Laborde, Kelsey Overman, Madison and Beau Rade, Abel Janét, Jackson and Layla Flynn; and two sisters-in-law, Janet Guidry and Shirley Janét. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edmund Joseph "Eddie Boy" Janét; son, Timothy Paul Janét; parents and brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Alzheimer's Association or Council on Aging. Jeanette was Past Auxiliary Commander of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, State of Louisiana. Her family thanks Bayou Home Health Care, Dr. Herschel Dean and North Point Family Clinic, and her sitters Kathy and Karl Snyder, Carla Ennis, Sonja Landry, Geraldine Cashe and Joan Posten for their extraordinary care.
