Jennifer Palmer Ingram passed away peacefully at Francois Bend Senior Living in Gonzales, LA, on November 24, 2024, to meet her Savior and Lord and be reunited with loved ones in her heavenly home. Born December 22, 1950, Jen was a native of Bogalusa, LA. In 1972 Jen received her B.A. in government, history, and Spanish from the University of Louisiana, Monroe, after which she enjoyed a long and successful career at the Social Security Administration (SSA), first for many years in a local office in Bogalusa, before moving to SSA national headquarters in Woodlawn, MD, from which she retired in 2018. In her various roles at the SSA, she enjoyed helping people navigate the complexities of that system and receiving the benefits to which they were entitled. She applied her executive experience to assist in a couple of professional women’s associations, serving as local chapter president of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). In her spare time, she enjoyed needlepoint, collecting antiques, particularly old ceramics, and shopping. In 2019 Jen moved from Maryland to Francois Bend Senior Living where she enjoyed an active life with dear friends and staff until she encountered severe health problems over the last couple of years. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Ingram and Jocelyn Mann Ingram of Bogalusa and by her brother, Christopher John Ingram, of Zachary, LA. She is survived by her brother, Donald Keith Ingram, of Baton Rouge, LA as well as her sister-in-laws, Cathline Cole Ingram and Carolyn Williams Ingram; nephews, Cole and Kyle Ingram; niece, Christy Huey; a grandnephew, Jared Andra; and grandnieces, Morgan Andra and Nora Ingram. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the wonderful staff of Francois Bend for all the love, care, and attention she received there as well as the special care she received from Southern Care Hospice over the last few weeks. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service for Jen to be held at the Chapel of Francois Bend Senior Living on Wednesday, December 17, at 10 am
