Surrounded by the love of his family and friends, Jeremy “Paco” Cedotal passed away peacefully on March 10th, 2026, at the age of 52 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was born on May 14th, 1973, in Houma, Louisiana, to parents Glenn and Diana Cedotal.
What people will remember most about Paco was his unforgettable personality. He had a way of lighting up a room without even trying, and he made everyone feel like they’d known him forever, he could walk into a room let out that trademark laugh and suddenly everyone felt like they had been his best friend for twenty years. Paco made people feel welcomed and cared for no matter the amount of time you knew him. He was a simple man in the best way possible give him good friends, Captain Morgan, a camp in the woods or the houseboat he loved fishing at and he believed he was the richest man alive.
The outdoors was where Paco felt most at home. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time on his houseboat. These weren’t just hobbies; they were experiences that shaped his life, and the memories made in those places will be carried by his friends and family forever.
Known for a heart bigger than his personality and a generous spirit, he was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back to help someone in need and depending on how long he had worn it you may have thankfully told him to keep it. He will be remembered for his stories, his laughter, his Paco-isms, and his carefree way of living life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him so dearly.
Paco is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Cedotal; stepson, Austin (Katie) Bain; granddaughter, Violet Bain; parents, Glenn and Diana Cedotal; sister, Melissa (Chris) Thies; and many other loving aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd (Margaret) Cedotal and Hubert (Louise) Falgout.
A celebration of Paco’s life will be held on March 17th, 2026, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with services beginning at 2:00 p.m., followed by burial.
While Paco’s time here was short, his laugh will echo in the woods and across the water for eternity I know he is already scouted out a fishing spot and has taken a nap that’s so loud it is rattling the Pearly Gates.
