Jimmy Jones, what a difference you made in this life. So many people were blessed by knowing you. Rest and be at peace now with our Lord, your work in this world is done. A resident of Baton Rouge and graduate of Baton Rouge High School Class of 1960, Jimmy passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013. He was 71 and a retired barber of 35 years from the Theatre Barber Shop in Broadmoor. He never met a stranger and always had time for a great conversation. Jimmy was a kind and sweet man with a gentle spirit, who had lifelong friends. He had a contagious laugh that would make others smile whenever they were in his presence. Jimmy was a loving father and grandfather and his family meant everything to him. He will be greatly missed by all. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Genevieve Jones; daughters, Carolyne Chardac and Suzanne Crawford; mother, Hazel P. Jones; brothers, C.R. (Bubba) Jones and Gordon Jones; sister, Beryl Price; grandchildren, Austin Chardac, Trent Chardac, Colby Crawford and Chase Crawford. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester J. Jones, and grandparents, John & Cora Jones, and Lawrence & Eva Perdue. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home Thursday, May 23, 2013, 5-8pm and Friday, May 24, 2013 beginning at 12pm until the Funeral Service at 2pm. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Austin Chardac, Brian Jones, Brent Price, Robert Bohne, Kenneth Bohne and Clyde Bohne.
