

"John James, "Ike" Capdevielle passed away on Sunday June 24, 2018 at the age of 66 after a valiant fight with Glioblastoma. Ike taught us how to die with acceptance and grace. He found a new meaning to the words "every day is a gift" and made the most of every second. Ike was a founding member of the Sacred Heart Men's Club, served with Pati as a Marriage Encounter Team Couple, proudly represented Manresa Group 5 as captain, and served on the Manresa Board of directors. Ike was a gifted Architect with houses gracing the land as far as Montana and Colorado and many places in between. One of his most rewarding designs was Loyola Hall at Manresa House of Retreat. He was awarded countless awards for his brilliant designs. Ike had a special gift of creating the perfect design to meet the requirements of his clients dreams that reflected warmth and timelessness. Ike cherished his family. Nothing was more important to him. He was the Dad and Grandfather at every function beaming with pride. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 42 years, Pati Bahlinger Capdevielle; his son, Trey Capdevielle; daughter and son in law, Alyce' and Chris Blackstone and their children Cole, Hensley and Pierce; son and daughter in law, Jacob and Ashley Rodriguez Capdevielle and their children Brynn, Carsyn, Hayes and Lily; son and daughter in law, Mic and Jaclyn Stine Capdevielle and their children Cruz and Piper Mae. He is also survived by his sisters Jan Gravolet and Judy Girod and her partner Robert Rich. In laws, who were like his own, include his mother in law, Frances Bahlinger, Juli Bahlinger, Andy and Kathy Bahlinger, Barbara and Alan Griffin, Lisa and Frankie Marcello, Mimi and Brent Bueche along with numerous nieces and nephews. Greeting Ike in heaven will be his daughter, Kristin Elizabeth Capdevielle, parents, John and Lily Capdevielle, and his father in law, Julius Bahlinger. Visitation will be at St. George Catholic Church on Thursday June 28 from 9-11 AM with the service following at 11:00 AM.
