John B. Conn, a native and resident of Port Allen, LA., died peacefully on March 1, 2023, in the comfort of the Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly wing at the Baton Rouge General Hospital at 92 years old. John served his country in the US Army in the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion McKinley Bourg Post 160. He was a retired employee of Gulf States Utilities (now Entergy.) He enjoyed spending time at his place at Lake Verret and was masterful at creating beautifully detailed knives. John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Langlois Conn, a niece and 4 nephews. Also surviving him are Nancy’s children, Diana Burns and her husband Paul, and Rodney Cheek and his wife Donna of Windsor, Colorado. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Marion and Hilda Bourg Conn, sister, Betty Juehring and brother Joseph Marion Conn, Jr. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Allen.
