John Grady Daigle

John Grady Daigle, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the age of 79. He was the devoted husband to Carolyn Daigle for 59 years. Born in Church Point, LA on September 12, 1946, to his parents; the late Vivian and Ben Daigle.

John was the loving father of Melanie Godso, Cherie Jarreau and the late Todd Daigle. Grandfather of Miklynn Bahlinger, Makenzie Godso, Trenton Jarreau, Allie Godso, Landon Godso, Victoria Godso and Emma Jarreau; Great-grandfather of Grace Bahlinger, Grayson Slay, Walker Kelly and Wrenley Kelly. Brother of Cynthia Matte, Joann Miller Millie Fall, Dolores Schexnider and Peggy Doucet.

John served in the United States Navy before starting his career as a residential painter. After retirement, John enjoyed fishing and cooking and loved spending time with his family and friends; especially his 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

John was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an Adorer at St. Alphonsus Adoration Chapel.

Serving as pallbearers; Randy Godso, Landon Godso, Roy Jarreau, Trenton Jarreau, Jeremy Fall and Dusty Matte; Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Brown, Trevor Benoit, Dave Bahlinger and Zane Kelly.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass, at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd, Greenwell Springs, LA. 70739 on Monday, January 26th, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815.
