A resident of Broussard Group Home, Baton Rouge, he died at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 47 and employed by Metro Enterprises. He is survived by his mother, Mary Audrey Hebert Mistretta; sisters, Sue Ellen Schmidt and husband Mike, of Kingwood, Texas, and JoAnne Jumonville and husband Enoul, of Cary, N.C.; brothers, BJ "Butch" Mistretta and wife Donna, of Cary, Robert Gerard "Jerry" Mistretta, Pensacola, Fla., and J. Dennis Mistretta and wife Gayle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Bernard "Benny" Mistretta Sr. Visitation at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church on Saturday, Jan. 5, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
