

Mr. John “Dut” Rabalais, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Pierre Part, passed away on April 11, 2022. Mr. John was born in Baton Rouge on September 2, 1955 to parents John Wilmen and Kathryn Godwin Rabalais. He is a graduate of Woodlawn High School, a member of Baton Rouge Sail and Power Squadron and retired from Georgia Pacific. John enjoyed playing guitars, spending time on the water with his boat, seeing the sunrises and sunsets at his camp in Lake Verrett and repairing anything for anyone.
John is survived by his spouse of 13 years, Renee’ Stevenson; stepdaughter, Michelle Brown (Jesse) and Virginia Weber (Corey); grandchildren, Zachary Brown and Parker Brown; sisters, Carolyn R. Day, Brenda Rabalais, and Robinell R. Hedfelt (Fred); nieces, Alana Breland, Amber Brasseaux, Keelea Lejeune; and nephews, Jason N. Day, Clay Lejeune, and Dewayne Johnson and many friends
Preceded in death are his parents, John Wilmen and Kathryn Godwin Rabalais.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA., Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks Funeral Home, Friday, April 15, 2022 from 10:00am until funeral service time of 12:00pm Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
