Surrounded by loved ones, Tim departed on September 1, 2021. A loving and devoted husband, father, family member, and friend, he was born January 24, 1941 in Baton Rouge, where he resided his entire life. Tim was a proud graduate of Istrouma High School's class of 1958, studied music at LSU, and graduated from Baton Rouge Vocational School. He was a co-owner of Lamonica's Television, and a master electronics technician. He took great pride and pleasure in providing exemplary repair and restoration services to family, friends, and customers for 60 years. An accomplished musician, Tim was well-known in the Louisiana music scene of the 1960s and 70s, where he met and performed alongside his wife, Arlene. After retirement, he continued working in electronics with friend Mark Canatella until 2020. In his spare time, he enjoyed television, music, and tending to the family camp on the Tickfaw River. His willingness to always lend a hand, unique style, personality, and sense of humor will be forever missed. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Arlene; three beloved children, Debbie, Michael, and Julia; four grandchildren, Lauren and Grant Thomas, Justin Lamonica and Jessica Miller; and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by devoted brother Ray (Dianne), sister Kathy Hargrove (Frank), and a cherished cousin Genevieve Cannella; nieces Drew Lamonica Arms and Leigh Lamonica, nephews Neal Lamonica and Lenny Hargrove, a great-niece, Cate, and great-nephews Davis, Carson, Sam, and Luke. He is also survived by lifelong friend Dr. John B. Ragusa and his wife Pam, loyal family friend Collin LeBlanc, and many decades-long friends. Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Olivia Lamonica, as well as a close uncle and mentor, Joseph Frank. Visitation begins Thursday, September 9, 9:30 AM at Rabenhorst East, followed by services in the chapel conducted by Father Cleo Milano at Noon. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Flowers or donations to a favorite charity are welcomed in Tim's honor.
