Joseph M."Billy"Aguillard

A resident of Baton Rouge, Joseph M. "Billy" Aguillard died at 1 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was born on Sept. 11, 1928, in New Roads. He was the retired co-owner of Agway Systems Inc. Visitation at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. M. Jeffery Bayhi, celebrant. A private burial will follow. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcie Joseph and Maggie Ramagos Aguillard; and a sister, Nora Crowe. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Ruby Aguillard, of Zachary; a son, Billy J. Aguillard and wife Bobbie, of Baton Rouge; and two daughters, Mary Christie Aguillard Wood and husband Ray, of Port Allen, and Lindie Aguillard Stevens, of Jena. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Brian and wife Erin, Jennifer and husband Todd, Melanie, Jamie and husband Brandon, Kelli and husband Chet, Tray, Joshua, Lynsey and Landon; four great-grandchildren, Thomas, Anna Kathryn, Michael and Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff of Sunrise Assisted Living Center and the SICU staff at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid-City.
