Patin, Joseph Carney, Sr. (Sonny) 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 21, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War and was also in the construction business for over 50 years. He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Patin Jr. and Cedric Patin; two daughters, Shira Patin Mills and husband Rick, and Ava Patin Ali and husband Jim. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, a godchild and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Kerwin Patin, his parents, Joseph Ceasar and Agnes Jewel (Tarver) Patin, sisters, Melva Patin St. Julien and Gloria "Nicole" Patin, brother, John Errol Patin and grandson, Landon Joseph Polson. Visitation is at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, LA on Friday May 29 from 9:15 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. With entombment following at Green Oaks Cemetery, Baton Rouge, LA.
