Joyce M Honey

A loving mother and grandmother went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 04, 2013, at the age of 87. She was a charter member of Winbourne Avenue Baptist Church and more recently of Lanier Baptist Church. She was a member of the Woman’s Missionary Union, Eastern Star, and the BR KIT Club. She was a den mother at Pack 18, and she and her late husband were volunteers at the Veteran Home in Jackson and also at the Greater BR food bank. Visitation will be held at Lanier Baptist Church 4851 Lanier Dr. on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 5 PM until 8 PM and will resume at Lanier Baptist Church on Saturday, April 6, 2013, from 9 AM until service time at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her two sons, Clyde Honey and Johnny Honey and wife, Connie; two sisters, Juanita Hargrove and husband, Bill, and Brenda Hernandez and husband, Ernie; and two grandchildren, Michael Honey and Sarah Honey. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Honey; her parents, Clyde and Lessie Heine; sister, Dorothy Harris; and daughter in law, Susan Storey Honey.
